Higher Farm Cottage – Langton Herring, Weymouth

This traditional stone-built cottage is a Grade II listed building dating from around 1690 and located on the edge of the village close to the entrance of Higher Farm. Whilst having recently been renovated and re-furbished to a very high standard, the cottage still manages to retain its original character and charm. The five bedrooms on first and second floors provide sleeping facilities for up to eight people. All rooms are tastefully decorated and the sitting room comes complete with exposed beams and a charming inglenook fireplace. As well as an oil-fired Aga in the kitchen there is also a conventional cooker and hob. Designed to a high standard, the kitchen also boasts granite work surfaces, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, dryer and dishwasher. French windows open out to the walled rear garden and patio where teak garden furniture and barbecue are provided. The cottage has full central heating and is available throughout the year. The area is particularly popular with walkers and within a half-mile walk lies the Fleet, Chesil Beach and the Southwest Coastal Path.

Mill Cottage – 3 Briantspuddle, Dorchester

This Grade II listed luxury holiday cottage is situated in a peaceful and picturesque riverside position in the Purbeck rural conservation area. The five bedrooms, all with ensuite facilities, can accommodate up to ten guests. The sitting room with its splendid views of the River Piddle has a large working inglenook fireplace which dates from 1765. The entrance hall, with seating for ten, offers a 42″ flat screen plasma TV with satellite decoder and DVD/CD. The internet router and Wi-Fi facility provides broadband Internet service to most of the cottage and can be wired up for business use or gaming consoles as required. The spacious and well-planned kitchen, formerly a stable, now boasts a cathedral roof and 3 electrically operated skylights, with an oil fired Aga accompanied by a conventional electric oven and hob, microwave oven, fridge freezer and dishwasher. There are two sets of French doors which open onto the riverside and front terraces, with tables, chairs and umbrellas available for alfresco dining. Heating on the ground floor is provided by an oil fired under-floor heating system with oil-fired radiators on the first floor. The River Piddle and nearby River Frome offer excellent fishing and the unique and stunning Jurassic Coast, England’s only World Heritage site is just a short drive away.

The Courtyard - Clyffe, Tincleton

This four star, Grade II listed cottage, originally built in the 1840′s, is located within the grounds of Clyffe Manor House. The cottage can accommodate up to four people with two bedrooms comprising of one double and two single beds with fresh high quality bedding and linen supplied as standard. The luxury kitchen comes complete with slate floors, solid beech cabinets and granite surfaces as well as a good selection of crockery, cooking utensils and cutlery. There is a large fridge with separate freezer, a dishwasher, washer/drier, hob and fan-assisted oven. The lounge features solid oak flooring, with a large comfortable sofa and chair, piano, wood-burner and dining facilities. There is also a 32″ colour LCD TV complete with all Sky Freeview channels, wireless telephone with unlimited free local and national calls, Broadband wireless internet and DVD/CD player. The luxury bathroom, also with oak flooring, comprises of a shower, bath, WC and hand basin and heated towel rail, with soft luxurious towels provided. Historical locations such as the last resting place of Lawrence of Arabia, the cottage of Thomas Hardy and the birthplace of the Tolpuddle Martyrs all lie within a few miles of the cottage. Attractions such as Monkey World, Bovington Tank Museum, The Dinosaur Museum and The Sea Life Centre are approximately a five minute drive away.
